Jr. Bellies Wrap Up With Year End Banquet
The New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies put the final wraps to their 2019 season with their annual team banquet .Many of the guys had not seen each other since August’s season ending game 7 loss to the eventual league champions The Victoria Junior Shamrocks .There were a lot of fist bumps and hugs with players, coaches and executives alike. There was a great feeling in the room and it was encouraging to see the camaraderie the team had fostered this past season and through the last few seasons – especially for our graduating players. Those grads are : Tre Leclaire, Kieran MacKay, Kyle Hebert, Riley Morgan, Haden Harty, Ty Yanko, Emmett Donahoe, Cam Garlin, Naoll Degife, Jacob Patterson, Mack Burns and Jordan Trottier.
Will Malcom could not be present as he is currently in his rookie season with the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, but that did not stop his garnering of a number of awards including : Team MVP, Team Top Scorer, Most Offensive Game Star Selections, League Scoring Title and league First Team All-Star. Big congratulations to Will! The Bellies are already gearing up for 2020 with preparations underway for the BCJALL annual draft to be held in January. We hope to see all our supporters and fans out for the 2020 season!
