'Bellies Open Season In Style

The New Westminster Salmonbellies of the BCJALL opened the 125th Anniversary season in style Thursday night (May 1) by defeating the Langley Thunder 8-2. Mike Flintoff held his own in net and Intermediate A call-ups Jordan MacKenzie and Mitch Stokes played excellent games. Stokes scored twice and was dangerous all night, leading to his being named the Mr Mikes Offensive Player of the Game. Veteran Steve Ferdinandi was a rock on defense and shut down Langley's Brett Dobray while being named the Defensive Player of the Game.
