Bellies Drop Home Opener to T-Men

The NW Jr. Bellies fought a close battle with the Nanaimo Timbermen this past Sunday afternoon, in the opening BCJALL game for both teams. Nanaimo scored 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd period to take the win. Quinn Ridley, Simon Poole, Noah Armitage and Jaden Sealy collected goals for the Fishmen while goalie Keegan Melnychuk kept it close with 45 saves on the night. The Bellies were missing a good crop of their starters due to commitments to both the NLL and major college field lacrosse playoffs, currently going on in the US. Hopefully, those players will be back very soon, and we'll get a good look at the complete team and what they can do.The Bellies management is very confident that once that happens, we will compete for the top spot in the BCJALL.
